A waterfront Northport cottage can be used as a cozy retreat or can be rebuilt to take advantage of Northport Harbor views. It is on the market for $799,000.
The two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage has a fireplace and sits on nearly half an acre.
“It’s good for one person to move in there, or even a couple,” says listing agent Nancy Wascura of Coach Realtors. “If you were to rebuild and if you raise it up, you would get spectacular views of the harbor.”
The property has been in the same family since 1959, Wascura says. The family also owned a six-family apartment building on the same street that once served as a yacht club. That property sold in 2016 for $1.1 million.
