This Farmingdale Colonial was built in 1924 and has the architectural details to show for it. The wood-burning fireplace, wood floors, moldings and wood beams are all original to the house, which is listed for $397,000. “They’ve been maintained very well,” says listing agent Joseph Mimmo of Century 21 Laffey Associates in East Norwich, adding that the bathroom and kitchen have been updated. Seller Brian Miller, 45, a database administrator, says the original owner based the design of the three-bedroom, two-bath house on a picture in a Sear’s catalog. All the fieldstone used in the front columns and the fireplace were handpicked on the North Shore, Miller says.
