A rare historic farmhouse in Cutchogue is on the market for $499,000.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home was built around 1860, and is an authentic North Fork farmhouse surrounded by vineyards, says listing agent Sheila Izzo of North Fork Real Estate Inc.
"It's as if time stood still for a few moments back there," Izzo says. "The property is just like ones you can imagine your grandparents or great-grandparents living in."
The basement still has part of the original stone walls, and the attic has wood floors made of planks are at least 1½ feet wide. There's a wood barn and an old red maple tree in the middle of the yard, Izzo says.
Izzo says she loves hearing the church bells sounding from Our Lady of Ostrabrama, which is across the street from the property.
The 2,100-square-foot house has two fireplaces and comes with beach rights.
