Why it’s for sale Ann, 76, a semiretired clinical social worker, and Richard, 77, a certified public accountant, say they’re downsizing to a second home in Florida.

Ann Rudolph gets a little weepy just thinking about leaving her 2,532-square-foot home. She shares:

“First of all, it’s secluded and private. Our guests love how serene and private it is. Because the deck is elevated, they say they feel like they’re in a treehouse . . . The house is behind a 5,000-square-foot circular driveway and the property has a lot of tall trees. We have a screened-in porch we use for three seasons. Adjacent to it is a large deck, which overlooks the backyard and our heated pool and hot tub. We’ve had graduation parties and wedding brunches for each of our three kids out there. We’ve built lots of beautiful memories here. We love the family room and large wood-burning fireplace. It has a high ceiling and lots of windows on both sides plus a skylight. It really captures the personality of the property. The screened-in porch is right off the family room and overlooks the pool . . . There’s no carpet, just beautiful glossy hardwood floors. We have a finished basement where we exercise plus there’s an office for my husband. It has a private entrance and a bathroom . . . The kitchen was updated, including granite counters and new cabinetry, about five years ago . . . I can’t talk about how much we’re going to miss this home. It’s always been our little bit of heaven.”
