A Norman Jaffe-designed house in Sands Point is on the market for $2.88 million. Jaffe was an American architect who is highly regarded for his modern designs in homes across eastern Long Island.

He is revered for his innovations in design that embody a philosophy of what he called as the five elements of architecture -- space, materials, light, concept and connections.

“The first owner was from Italy,” says seller Hae Yim. “All of the stones and marble that he used were imported from Spain and Italy.”

The materials can be found in the pool and patio area, living room, dining room, fireplaces, kitchen and bathrooms.

The 7,000-square-foot home is has five bedrooms, 5½ baths, a pool and fireplaces.

It is listed by Ran Cho of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
