DUCK POINT. Remsenburg’s Duck Point, a 1.3-acre estate on its own point in Moriches Bay, is on the market for $9.95 million. The property, which has views of Fire Island, is 20 feet above sea level with a double bulkhead for protection. There is a heated pool outside, as well as a third-floor deck and boat dock.

The 6,000-square-foot shingled home has five bedrooms, all with private decks, and 6½ bathrooms.

The living room is heptagon-shaped, meaning it has seven sides. The house is being listed by the Enzo Morabito Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate. -- Valerie Kellogg

TUNNELS AND ALL. This Old Westbury house, which is on the market for $1.949 million, was built by E.D. Morgan between 1890 and 1900. The house was originally the pool house on the former 325-acre estate, says listing agent Douglas Elliman's Dalia Mairzadeh.

The property has two 200-foot brick underground tunnels that connect it to the former church and main house across the street.

Inside the house, relics of the past, including the original cupboards, fireplaces and wood-burning stove, have been preserved. But the windows are all new, and many of the rooms have been renovated, including the master suite and the library, which has mahogany-paneled walls.

The property is at the highest point in Nassau County, and the view from the kitchen windows is of the community. Other outstanding features include a high-ceiling basement, a pool and a patio. -- Elizabeth Gyori
