ISLAND SALE. A seven-bedroom, 8 ½-bath mansion in Water Mill that recently sold for $6.75 million belonged to reality TV star Daniel Lembo (seen here), according to public records and the Long Island Real Estate Report. Lembo, a real estate executive, is currently on CBS's "Survivor: Nicaragua." The 2.7-acre estate features an 11,000-square-foot cedar shake home with a movie theater, a billiard room with a wet bar, a gym and a sauna. There is also a pool house with a heated gunite pool and spa, a tennis court and a three-car garage. Ann Marie Deane of Sotheby’s International Realty handled the listing.
LOCATION, LOCATION. A 1.9-acre estate on Southampton’s swanky First Neck Lane is on the market for $10.4 million. The cottage originated as a gatehouse to The Dolphins, one of the biggest estates in the Southampton Village, says listing agent Hans von Schirach of Saunders & Associates. It was expanded into a summer home when the land was subdivided about 40 years ago and is appropriate for year-round use, says von Schirach. “The plus about the house is the location, the proximity to the ocean, the proximity to the Meadow Club, the fact that it lies between the big estates on First Neck Lane,” von Schirach says. The cottage has five bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms and almost limitless potential: The Architectural Review Board has approved plans for a 10,000-square-foot house, pool and tennis court.
HISTORY FOR SALE. Von Schirach signed an exclusive listing contract Tuesday morning for a neighboring home that’s listed in both the national and local registries of historical homes. The 5,400-square-foot home on a 3.3-acre property will be listed for $9 million. The exterior is protected by its historical status and must be kept intact. “It’s a 1900 house, and an architecturally beautiful home. It’s what people try to emulate this days with the post-moderns.” The interior needs to be renovated, but has features worth preserving, says von Schirach. “It has 10 ½-foot ceilings, beautiful staircase, beautiful fireplaces, beautiful mantelpieces.”
