There's even more competition out there to sell

The for-sale inventory of homes has been going up in Nassau and Suffolk, according to the latest report from the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island.

In Suffolk, there were 13,519 listings in June, up from 12,947 homes three months ago and 11,418 homes six months ago, the trade group said.

Nassau had 9,988 homes for sale in June, up from 9,322 three months ago and 7,960 listings six months ago, MLS said.
