A series of commercials was filmed at this 1888 Sea Cliff Victorian listed for $1.65 million, according to the home’s listing agency.
The home has been featured in spots for Folgers Coffee, the Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel and for the U.S. government. The agency says the home also was featured in a promo for the TV show “American Chopper” and a music video by Brazilian rapper Ice Blue.
The five-bedroom, 3 1⁄2-bathroom home was built by the village’s mayor before the turn of the 19th century, William Weeks, says listing agent Christina Volz of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.
The Weeks House features a full-width front porch with a seating area on one end and an attached porte-cochere at the other. Volz says original elements within the house include stained-glass windows, crown and picture moldings, ceiling medallions and parquet hardwood floors throughout.
A formal parlor is just beyond the foyer, which includes a staircase with a midstairway landing that has a window and bench area. The living room has a fireplace and mantel situated between built-in bookshelves. The home also includes a dining room and rear parlor.
The renovated eat-in kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, including a double oven, and Christopher Peacock designer cabinetry.
A full bathroom and dressing room are situated in the master bedroom.
The 0.7-acre property, on a corner lot, includes a partially finished basement and a two-car garage.
