Why it’s for sale Rogers, 57, who is retired from the real estate industry, will be relocating to Florida.
Rogers has owned her 1,996-square-foot home since 2012 and has continually made improvements. She says:
“I love the bay views from upstairs. There’s a regatta every Thursday during the summer that can be seen from upstairs. Also, out the front windows I see boats on the canal behind the homes across the street . . . The damage from Sandy was 1½ feet of water in the garage and crawl space. I’ve since insulated the crawl space with foam. It really holds the temperature in the house. I put in a new kitchen with cherry cabinetry, granite counters and new GE Café stainless steel appliances. I also added a pavered front walkway, in-ground sprinklers, PVC fencing, designer landscaping and a beautiful 4-foot-deep in-ground pool with a waterfall, heater, built-in seating and beautiful tiered steps. Every year I have a July Fourth party. This year I had 106 people and a live band. I’m only two houses from the bay so we can see the fireworks . . . In the back of the garage, I put in what I call a pool kitchen. It’s so convenient . . . The living room is so big, I can easily entertain 25 people . . . This is my favorite house of my lifetime. I wish I could take it with me.”
