Why it’s for sale
The Gelmans and their three girls have outgrown their co-op. This corner-unit co-op is on the top floor of the three-story Town & Country building on Schenck Avenue. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Marc, 42, an occupational therapist, and Lisa, 40, a stay-at-home mother, purchased the unit seven years ago, while Lisa was pregnant with the second of their three children. The complex has 38 units and is within walking distance of the LIRR station, stores and the library. Lisa talks about their home:

“We have a bright kitchen with an eat-in area and a nice living room with a north-facing terrace and barbecue there. The three bedrooms are very large, and we have a full-size washer and dryer in the unit. ... The electric has been updated, and we added crown molding in all rooms and Hunter Douglas window treatments. ... Indoor parking [comes with the unit] and the building just installed a state-of-the-art security system with a video camera [at the lobby entrance] that lets me see who’s there.”
