The Vollmers have like minds when it comes to the decorating style for their 3,657-square-foot home. They both embrace modern and minimal. Steve starts:

"I think the designer railing and open concept are the centerpiece. The railings are stainless steel with stainless steel cables. We put those in, in 2006. It feels like a SoHo loft, which is what we wanted. We wanted to create a mesh of a Manhattan loft and a midcentury Frank Sinatra Palm Springs home. We have a lot of windows and skylights. We love Dwell magazine and Architectural Digest, where we get many ideas. We love modern and minimalist."

Vina adds, "The house is going to be for someone who loves open spaces, dark hardwood floors and the modern aesthetic. These types of homes are in the area, but when you come inside it's unique. We have a Swedish sauna that we use a lot in the winter months. It's in our full finished basement. We have a Hamptons-style backyard, again very minimal. It's just about the pool and simplicity and sitting outside and enjoying the space."
