Why it's for sale: Fran, 54, and Mike, 62, both retired, say they want to move to Las Vegas.

The Noones bought their 2,750-square-foot legal two-family home in 2002. They live on the ground floor and rent out the second floor. Fran says:

"It's a great house and very solid. We feel very safe here. We didn't flood in Sandy . . . We're at a high and wide point in Long Beach. We only had to re-landscape . . . Upstairs is a three-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a nice terrace in the front and a large deck in the back. It's great rental income. The current tenants are there for three years and would love to stay . . . A few years ago we redid the rear deck . . .

"In our space, we have a living room and dining room combination, an eat-in kitchen and two bedrooms. One we use as a den. Our bathroom is large, with a double sink . . . There's a big pantry off the kitchen, a walk-in closet and a second closet in the master bedroom. The upstairs has lots of closets, too, plus attic storage. We have hardwood floors on both levels There's lots of parking. We can fit at least three cars in our driveway, and there are always spots available on the street."
