“The community is about beauty, location and affordability for people over age 55. It’s very easy living here. We have an open floor plan and central air-conditioning. Our 10-by-16-foot four-season sun porch and rear deck both face a wooded area. We frequently entertain, and the center island in the kitchen makes it a pleasure. Guests can spread into the dining room, kitchen, living room, sunroom and deck.

"We have new stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and the kitchen and bathrooms have quartz countertops. There are skylights in the kitchen and bathrooms and cathedral ceilings throughout the home.

"We’re one of the few communities out here with no HOA fees. The clubhouse is active with dinner dances and outdoor parties. There’s a library and exercise equipment. We’re in a superfriendly community. Because we’re land leased, the sewage system, roads, common areas and water usage are included in our monthly lot rent.

"There are about 75 homes like ours, and we’re nicely nestled in the woods. The community is close to shopping, vineyards, beaches, restaurants and golf.”
