Why it’s for sale: Sadie, 72, a retired retail sales manager, and Frederick, 73, a retired telecommunications engineer, say it’s time to downsize.

The Rieneckers’ 3,700-square-foot home is exceptionally bright, thanks to many windows, sliding doors and skylights. Sadie shares:

“When I walked into this house, I knew I wanted it. We had just bought a home two blocks away. We kept that one as an investment and moved in here. There’s a dual two-story wood-burning stone fireplace.

"One side is in the living room and the other in the recreation room. The entryway is bright and airy with lots of windows. We do a lot of entertaining, which this house is perfect for, both inside and out. It’s large, with a good flow. My grandchildren have parades through the house and bubble baths in the Jacuzzi.

"The yard is wooded and private, and the deck is the width of the house. The master bedroom is grand with a cathedral ceiling, a walk-in cedar closet and an outdoor balcony. The marble master bath has a Jacuzzi, a bidet and a separate walk-in shower. There are hardwood floors throughout the house.

"A bedroom on the first floor we use as an office. All the bathrooms are full and have new granite counters and vessel sinks. We put on a new roof two years ago, and the exterior of the house was painted this year.”
