Why it’s for sale.  “We love the house, but we’re making a change,” says Jimmy 40, a media buyer. Marie, 37 is a homemaker and a part-time educator. The Martones have three children: Maggie, 7, James, 6, and Peyton, 4.

Charm is the central theme of this six-room Colonial, which is peppered with such architectural details as arched entranceways, built-in shelves, window moldings, a stained-glass window and a brick fireplace. When Jimmy and Marie moved in about six years ago, they tackled two projects: They redid the floors and knocked down a wall to open the space between the living room and the kitchen. “It feels much bigger and less stuffy,” says Jimmy. The house has three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. The property is 40 by 100 feet. “We have a decent size backyard for the kids to run around in,” notes Jimmy, who chats some more about the house:

“We have a great front porch that we use a lot — we get three seasons out of it ... The house is a great size and has a lot of character with details such as moldings. And we have a finished basement that comes in handy all day long ... The best feature, in my opinion, is the sunroom in the back near the kitchen ... It’s a good house for a family — it’s warm and just has a good feel to it.”
