Why it’s for sale. Paul Miller, 30, a television producer in Manhattan, has gotten a new job as a producer for ESPN in Bristol, Conn. He and his wife, Shari, 28, a human-resources international affairs coordinator at Canon, and their 18-month-old daughter, Samantha, are relocating to Connecticut.
The Millers' split-level home was built in 1955 and is on a .17-acre corner lot. Located in the Westbrook Park area, the almost 2,000-square-foot house has three bedrooms, 2½ bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen, a living room, a formal dining room, a den and a family room in the finished basement, plus a 1½-car garage.
The Millers bought the house in December 2008, thinking they would live there for years. That was true until the out-of-state career opportunity came up for Paul.
He chats about the home: “When Shari and I first walked into the home, we loved it right away. There is a lot of natural light coming in the front windows, and each level had so much space with so many rooms to do different things with. The house is on a corner lot that we recently fenced in for our 18-month-old daughter so she’ll have lots [of space] to play around in. Being [across from] a cul-de-sac, there is little to no traffic going through. We have a Trex deck that we recently replaced the railings on. And we redid the master bathroom. There is nothing that has to be done to this house.”
