After sharing seven years and six kids with Angelina Jolie, actor Brad Pitt has finally put a ring on it.
Earlier on Friday, People.com and Us Weekly's website reported the actors, who became a couple after costarring in the 2005 film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," are engaged.
The couple, who have six children -- Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 3 -- have been hinting publicly at potentially making their union official.
The Oscar-winning actress was seen wearing an engagement ring April 11 at a private viewing at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries, according to the Hollywood Reporter, who first questioned whether they were engaged.
Us Weekly said that a spokesman for jeweler Robert Procop, who has designed pieces for Jolie, 36, and Pitt, 48, in the past, told Us Weekly, "I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt."
And on Friday afternoon, the Hollywood Reporter said Pitt's manager, Cynthia Pett-Dante, had confirmed the engagement. "Yes, it's confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There's no date set at this time. Brad designed the ring."
