Big Apple, NY2Dance, 'One Ride' show their moves

Get a move on and check out these dance (and dance-inspired) performances in New York this weekend.

1. 'Dance On!'

WHAT The Big Apple Circus is back in town with this new show featuring lots of dynamic movement, including the Hebei Wuqiao Acrobatic Troupe of China on unicycles, the African Acrobats/Acrobats Internationale from Africa performing to a World Music beat and the X Bud Roses Troupe, contortionists from Mongolia. Choreography by Drama Desk Award-winner Peter Pucci.

2. NY2Dance

WHAT This New York dance troupe, led by choreographer Nejla Y. Yatkin, celebrates its 10th birthday with performances of "Wallstories," commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall, and "Journey to the One," a tango-inspired series of dances.

3. 'One Ride'

WHAT A new dance musical directed and choreographed by Robert Royston, who also choreographs for Taylor Swift, tells the story of the world championship country-swing dance circuit through the songs of Chris LeDoux.
