Actress Amber Heard, whose divorce from film star Johnny Depp was finalized on Jan. 13, appears to have gone public with her long-rumored beau, Tesla Motors and SpaceX founder Elon Musk.
People magazine Monday said the two had spent the previous day strolling romantically through the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on Australia’s Gold Coast. As well, they each posted a variation of the same photo on Instagram Sunday of themselves at a restaurant, a kiss imprinted in lipstick on Musk’s cheek.
The 45-year-old tech billionaire suggested a professional aspect, writing, “Having moo moo at Moo Moo Gold Coast with @AmberHeard, @CreepyPuppet and @CowanFilms,” referring to James Wan, director of the big-screen adaptation of “Aquaman” that stars Heard as love interest Mera, and Cowan Films’ Rob Cowan, the film’s executive producer. The restaurant Moo Moo in Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia, does not appear to have a dish or a drink called a “moo moo,” however, suggesting Musk may have used that term playfully.
Heard, who turned 31 on Saturday, wrote simply, “Cheeky.”
Musk was married in 2000 to his college sweetheart, author Justine Wilson, with whom he has five children — twin sons, then triplet sons. Their first child had died at 10 weeks old from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Musk filed for divorce in 2008, the year he began a relationship with English actress Talulah Riley, who currently plays Angela, one of the self-aware robots on HBO’s “Westworld.” The two married in 2010, separated in 2011, divorced, and remarried in July 2012. Musk then filed for divorce from her a second time in January 2015, but withdrew the petition that August following a reconciliation. He filed for divorce once again in March 2016 and it was finalized late last year.
Heard, who also plays Mera in the upcoming “Justice League,” met Depp while they were filming the 2011 film “The Rum Diary.” They later began dating and wed in February 2015. She filed for divorce in May the following year after 15 months of marriage. The two have no children.
