Fellow celebrity moms oohed and aahed Sunday over comedy star Amy Schumer's latest Instagram photo of her and husband Chris Fischer's infant son, Gene.
The Rockville Centre-raised Schumer, 38, posted an image of herself with a dazed smile, holding her 7-week-old to her bosom, captioning the photo with a crying emoji followed by four hearts. "[A]wwww," wrote Commack-born comic Rosie O'Donnell. "Omg," said actress Debra Messing, adding five crying emoji in what seemed a visual representation of kvelling.
Three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer commented, "Heaven." And comedian-actress Ali Wentworth gave kisses and hugs, writing: "Xoxoxox I can smell him from here...."
"Trainwreck" star Schumer has posted numerous images of Gene including, most recently, two June 8 photos — one showing her pushing a stroller on a bucolic dirt road and another in which she cuddles the infant, both evidently asleep on a couch. "5 weeks. Hospital underwear for life!" she captioned the double-image post, in which she sports a large white undergarment.
Schumer and celebrity chef and cookbook author Fischer married in February 2018 and Schumer announced her pregnancy that October. Their son was born May 5.
