Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence, "Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts and the cast of the reality show "Duck Dynasty" are among those making the cut for Barbara Walters' annual "The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year" special, the network announced Monday.

The No. 1 person will be revealed on the Dec. 18 special. ABC also said that Walters' list includes expatriate NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden; singer Miley Cyrus; Britain's infant heir, Prince George; and the high-profile couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who, like the "Duck Dynasty" crew, Walters counts as one.

Entertainment Weekly and USA Today both reported that Pope Francis and swimmer Diana Nyad were also on the list.

ABC News did not include them in its announcement, and an ABC News spokeswoman would not confirm the claims.

With Walters, 84, set to retire next year, this will be her final "Most Fascinating" special. The series began in 1993.
