Pop star Beyoncé, the subject of pregnancy rumors for more than a week, is, indeed, expecting her second child, according to E! News.
The entertainment-news network said Friday that multiple sources had confirmed that Beyoncé, 31, and her husband, rapper and music producer Jay-Z, 43, are having another baby. Their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, was born Jan. 7, 2012.
Speculation first arose after the 17-time Grammy Award winner Beyoncé attended the Met Gala May 6 in a high-waisted Givenchy gown that some suggested concealed a baby bump. Then, on Tuesday, the Sportpaleis arena in Antwerp, Belgium, posted what it called an "official press release" that said the singer "has been advised by her doctors to rest as a result of dehydration and exhaustion and will not be able to perform tonight."
She performed a scheduled second concert there the following night, telling the audience, "I just have to say, I feel so good to be on this stage. Now, my doctors told me not to perform, but there was no way in the world [that I would cancel again]. I just have to say that you all have given me so much inspiration and I just want to thank you guys."
Beyoncé's spokeswoman did not respond to a Newsday request for comment.
