Former “Brady Bunch” child star Eve Plumb has sold a Malibu home she bought for $55,300 at age 11 — turning it around for $3.9 million.
The Los Angeles Times said actress-painter Plumb, 58, sold the 1950s-era, aquamarine cottage at the south end of Escondido Beach in June. A flat-roofed bungalow, the 850-square-foot space has three bedrooms and what the paper described as 1.75 bathrooms. A deck wraps around the exterior.
According to real estate listings, the home at 27200 Escondido Beach Rd. sits on an 8,906-square-foot lot and has 42 frontage feet of beachfront.
The home was sold with plans for a modern two-story residence designed by Meis Architects, showing floor-to-ceiling glass, a retractable moon roof and a two-story garage, the paper said. It was unclear if the sales price was for the existing home and property, with architectural plans thrown in, or for this house that would occupy the site.
Plumb already was a veteran actress with parts on “Lassie,” “Gunsmoke,” “The Big Valley,” “Here’s Lucy” and other shows by the time she played middle daughter Jan on the iconic 1969-74 ABC family comedy “The Brady Bunch.”
Her career has continued with films and TV movies, a cast role on the children’s series “Fudge” and guest roles on shows including “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “That ’70s Show,” as the mother of Mila Kunis’ character, and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” She most recently appeared in this year’s Fox TV musical “Grease Live!”
