Rap star Cardi B says her 14-month marriage to rapper Offset is over.
"So everybody been bugging me and everything," Cardi B, 26, born Belcalis Almanzar, said in an Instagram video early Wednesday seemingly referencing rumors that Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, also 26, has cheated. "And you know," she continued, "I been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now, and we're really good friends and you know we're really good business partners, and, y'know, he's always somebody that I run to to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other."
After a sigh, she went on to say, "Things just haven't been working out between us for a long time and it's nobody's fault. It's just like, I guess, we grew out of love. But we're not together anymore. I don't know. I might take time to get a divorce and I'm gonna always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter's father, and — yeah."
The two are parents to daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, nearly 5 months old.
"There you go. peace and love," Cardi B said in a text caption.
Offset, of the Atlanta-based trio Migos, commented, "Y'all won," according to TMZ.com. The comment, apparently directed at those accusing him of infidelity, was not readily visible on Cardi B's post, which had been viewed more than 8.7 million times within 12 hours. Offset has not otherwise commented on social media.
On June 25, Cardi B confirmed a report earlier that day saying that she and Offset had wed secretly nine months earlier.
"There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are moments that I want to keep for myself!" she tweeted. "Getting married was one of those moments! Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn't want to lose each other," and so the couple eloped.
TMZ.com had posted a marriage certificate showing that the couple had married under their birth names on Sept. 20, 2017, in Atlanta.
Offset additionally has three children from previous relationships, according to the hip-hop magazine XXL, citing court documents.
Cardi B is scheduled to appear in court Friday over allegations stemming from an altercation at a New York City bar. She is also set to perform Friday night at the annual Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden.
