Dear Bonnie: Chris Brown delves into his past to help others

Chris Brown, you didn't have to say a word about NFL Ravens running back Ray Rice, 27, who has been cut from his team and suspended from playing indefinitely, after brutally beating up his now-wife, Janay Rice, 26. You are starting the promotion of your much-anticipated "X" album, and you gave an interview on video with MTV News' Sway Calloway last week. But when Calloway asked you your thoughts on the Rice scandal, as someone who at 25 years of age has been through a similar experience, you did not shy away. Instead, you opened up about your history, and about how you have worked hard to overcome your anger-management issues. "I think it's all about choices you make," you said. "With me, I deal with a lot of anger issues from my past -- not knowing how to express myself verbally and . . . not knowing how to cope with my emotions and deal with them and understand what they are."-- Bonnie FullerBonnie Fuller is president and editor-in-chief of and the former editor of Star, Us Weekly, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire magazines.A 2nd chance at love?
