Dina Manzo, a former star of the reality-TV series “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” was robbed Saturday during a violent home invasion.
Independently confirming the parties’ names, which were not given in the police report, Advance Media’s NJ.com said Monday that Manzo and her businessman boyfriend, Dave Cantin, had just returned home when they were attacked by two masked robbers.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office did not give the names of Manzo and her boyfriend when announcing on Sunday that a couple who lived at a townhouse on Banyan Boulevard in Holmdel had been beaten by burglars. They reported that the male was struck multiple times with a baseball bat and the woman repeatedly punched. The couple was then bound together as the thieves stole cash, jewelry and other items, the prosecutor said.
After freeing themselves, the couple called police at 10:54 p.m. Saturday. They were treated at a hospital and released, with Cantin having suffered a broken nose and Manzo sustaining facial injuries.
Manzo is a sister of the reality series’ Caroline Manzo and the former sister-in-law of castmate Jacqueline Laurita. She works as an interior designer, party planner and lifestyle consultant, while Cantin is a former co-owner of Brad Benson Hyundai in South Brunswick.
Manzo, who lives in Los Angeles primarily, was separated from husband Tommy Manzo in October 2012, with their divorce finalized in February 2016. She has a daughter, Lexi Ioannou, 21.
