The estranged husband of Janet Jackson has written a heartfelt paean to the singer-actress, from whom he has recently separated.
“To the most beautiful person in the world,” Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana wrote on his personal website, accompanying a photo of Jackson, “thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend. I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever,” he said, using the Arabic word for “If Allah wills” or “God willing.”
Meanwhile, Jackson, 50, one of the Jackson musical family and a sister of the late superstar Michael Jackson, on Friday posted a social-media photo of herself holding the couple’s son Eissa — the Arabic form of Jesus — who was born Jan. 3. “My baby and me after nap time,” she captioned the image of the yawning infant, his head pressed to her lips.
A representative for Jackson confirmed on April 9 that Jackson and Al Mana — whose Al Mana Group represents numerous luxury brands and has investments in media, real estate and other industries — were separating but not divorcing at this time. The two had wed in 2012 but kept the marriage, her third, unrevealed until the following year.
Last April, Jackson ignited pregnancy rumors when she announced in a Twitter video that she was taking time off from her Unbreakable world concert tour because of “a sudden change” and that she and her husband “are planning our family.” She added, “I have to rest up; doctor’s orders.”
She confirmed in October that she was expecting, providing People with a photo of her pregnant self and telling the magazine, “We thank God for our blessing.” Upon the child’s birth, Jackson’s representative assured in a statement that despite her age, “Janet had a stress free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably.”
Jackson has had numerous No. 1 albums since her third, “Control,” in 1986. Her most recent, “Unbreakable,” reached No. 1 in October 2015. She has won five Grammy Awards for her music and videos.
