Dancer-actress Julianne Hough consoled herself with friends at the beach over the weekend following her recently announced breakup with radio personality and "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.

"Beachin' with my ----," Hough tweeted, naming "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev; stylist RiawnaCapri of the Los Angeles salon Nine Zero One; Morgan Johnson; and Jill, with no last name given. Along with giving the hashtag #friendsarethebesttherapy, she linked to an Instagram photo of the five together.

Capri Sunday posted the same image, captioning it, "Friendship isn't about who you known the longest, it's about who came and never left your side."

Hough, 24, and Seacrest, 38, had been a couple for more than two years before splitting up over work schedules that often kept them apart for lengthy stretches, People said Sunday. The magazine added that the breakup appeared mutual, saying the two have remained in touch and consider themselves friends.

Hough on Friday tweeted, without comment, a photo of the words "It gets better." Seacrest has been silent on Twitter since Thursday. Neither of the stars' representatives have commented.

The couple had been dating publicly since June 2010.
