Kerry Washington weds football player Nnamdi Asomugha
"Scandal" star Kerry Washington has married San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.
E! News said Wednesday it had confirmed that the actress, 36, and the NFL player, 31, were quietly wed on June 24 in Blaine County, Idaho, a ski-resort area where celebrities including Demi Moore and Adam West have homes.
Washington's parents, Earl and Valerie, served as witnesses, and Asomugha's sister, Chisaraukwu Asomugha of Silver Spring, Md., officiated, E! said.
Us Weekly received a statement from the county clerk's office saying, "It has been recorded in the Blaine County clerk's office that Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have been married on the 24th of June in the town of Hailey, Idaho."
Citing the sports-gossip site TerezOwens.com, which first reported the news, E! said Asomugha and Washington, whose films include "Django Unchained," have been dating since last summer.
This is Washington's first marriage. In March 2007 she broke up with her fiance, actor David Moscow, who played Tom Hanks' character as a child in the 1988 movie "Big."
