Eight-months-pregnant Khloé Kardashian is having a girl, with her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson of the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
On Sunday’s episode of E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the reality-TV star, 33, gets the news from her half-sister Kylie Jenner via phone. “You’re lying!” a shocked Kardashian responds. “I’m not lying!” assures Jenner, 20, who had her first child, daughter Stormi, with rapper Travis Scott on Feb. 1.
After more back-and-forth, Khloé Kardashian asks her sister Kim Kardashian, 37, sitting next to her: “Is she lying or serious?”
“Kylie, are you serious?” Kim asks into the phone. Jenner, seemingly starting to get annoyed, asks, “Why would I lie about this?”
After a stunned Khloé, tearing up, says, “I don’t feel like I’m having a girl,” Kim tells her, “This is so exciting. It’s OK — I cried when I found out North was gonna be a girl, too,” referring to her and rapper Kanye West’s 4-year-old, the oldest of their three children.
“I don’t feel like I’m having a girl at all,” Khloé repeats. “I’m, like, in a state of shock.”
Later in the episode she says, “Everyone told me, ‘You’re going to feel what you’re having and you’ll just kind of know.’ And then when you find out it’s the complete opposite, it’s just a shock. I just was convinced that I was having a boy, so to be having a girl, it’s just like, ‘OK, that wasn’t what I thought was going on.’ ”
She tweeted afterward, “I am now so excited my daughter will have forever best friends with Chicago and Stormi!!,” referencing Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s 7-week-old daughter. She added in a second tweeted, “I knew the name if I was having a boy. So now I really have to figure this out.” She also posted the news on her subscription app.
Thompson, 26, has not commented on social media about the reveal of his child’s gender.
