Actors Lizzy Caplan and Tom Riley reportedly were married in Italy over Labor Day weekend.
People magazine said it had confirmed that Riley, 36, star of the series “Da Vinci’s Demons,” and Caplan, 35, star of Showtime’s “Masters of Sex,” based on the book by Newsday’s Thomas Maier, had wed. Riley posted on Instagram Monday a photo showing himself and Caplan sitting on a lawn, she in a wedding gown, he in a suit, and four friends eerily lit behind them in comical poses. “This one seems fertile. She shall make a satisfactory first wife,” Riley wrote jokingly.
Caplan, who has no apparent social-media accounts, has not commented.
The two had met in London in January 2015, when Caplan was shooting “Now You See Me 2.” They made their red-carpet debut just over a year later at the Prague Opera Ball, and became engaged in May 2016 in New York. They starred together earlier this year in the three-episode BBC miniseries “Ill Behaviour.”
