Michael Clarke Duncan through the years

Michael Clarke Duncan, whose dozens of films included an Oscar-nominated performance as a death-row inmate in "The Green Mile," died Sept. 3, 2012, in a Los Angeles hospital where he was being treated for a heart attack. He was 54. A hulking, prolific character actor, Duncan was popular with critics and fans alike for his roles in "Armageddon," ''Planet of the Apes" and "Kung Fu Panda."
