The much-anticipated third Pee-wee Herman movie, previously in development at Universal Pictures, reportedly will premiere on Netflix. The trade site TheWrap.com said the film, being produced by Judd Apatow and co-written by Pee-wee creator Paul Reubens and Paul Rust, would bypass theaters and be distributed by the streaming-video service. Reubens, 62, said in October he anticipated production would begin in February. Netflix has not confirmed the report. Reubens' long-running Pee-wee Herman character starred in the 1985 movie "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" and a 1988 sequel, "Big Top Pee-wee," as well as in CBS' 1986-1990 Saturday-morning live-action children's series "Pee-wee's Playhouse."
