Singer-actor Nick Lachey says he hasn't talked with his ex-wife, singer and fashion entrepreneur Jessica Simpson, in several years.
"It's been years. Honestly, probably six years. It's like another lifetime ago," Lachey told Bravo host Andy Cohen on Tuesday's "Watch What Happens Live." Lachey and Simpson married in 2002, starred in the reality show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" and filed for divorce in 2005.
And he's not nostalgic for their 2003 to 2005 MTV show. "As you can imagine, that's not popular viewing in my house these days," said Lachey, 39, who married TV personality Vanessa Minnillo in 2011 and had son Camden with her the following year. "We don't sit around as a family and watch the old DVDs."
Later, during a segment called "Plead the Fifth," in which guests are asked three questions and can decline to answer any one, Lachey, appearing with his band 98 Degrees, commented on his ex-wife's father and manager, Joe Simpson. When asked what was the best thing about no longer having him as a father-in-law, Lachey's brother and bandmate Drew Lachey, 36, interjected: "Can I answer this one? Everything! There you go!"
