Comedian and talk-show host Rosie O'Donnell, herself a mother of four, recently offered to buy a new house for Alana Thompson, 6, and her family from TLC's reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." But the girl's mother says they would rather have their existing home remodeled -- and O'Donnell is OK with that.

"We're in! Are you kidding me? Of course," responded an agreeable O'Donnell, 50, originally of Commack.

Speaking Monday while attending her annual Building Dreams for Kids Gala to benefit Rosie's Theater Kids, she said, "They do that 'Extreme Makeover' show -- hello! I will call David Zaslav [president and chief executive of Discovery Communications, which owns TLC] when I get home. I will say [the family is] very into an addition. Maybe we can get Home Depot to chip in, and we make it the Christmas special: 'Rosie O'Donnell and Honey Boo Boo's Renovation.' "

June Shannon -- matriarch of the McIntyre, Ga., family that includes Alana "Honey Boo Boo,"; Alana's father Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, who has lived with June Shannon since 2004; and Alana's half-sisters Anna "Chickadee" Shannon, 17; Jessica "Chubbs" Shannon, 14; and Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon, 12, -- responded on the TV show "Extra" that, "We appreciate the gesture; it was very kind."

But she added, "We love our house. We are not looking for a handout, but we do want to renovate to a two-bedroom and a bathroom."
