Reality-TV star Scott Disick, who has a history of alcohol issues, has checked himself into rehab.
Disick, 31, originally of Eastport, told TMZ.com Monday that he had checked himself into Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica. He told the website, "I realize my issues are bigger than me and I'm ready to truly remedy this struggle I continue to battle."
TMZ said Disick, the longtime boyfriend of reality star Kourtney Kardashian and the father of her three children, made the decision after a tequila binge in Atlantic City over the weekend. The website reported last year that Disick was admitted to Southampton Hospital for alcohol poisoning in June. A hospital spokeswoman told Newsday in July that HIPAA privacy rules did not allow her to comment.
In related news, the Kardashian siblings' stepfather, Olympics champion Bruce Jenner, 65, will be a grandfather. His 32-year-old daughter-in-law Leah Jenner -- wife of Jenner's son Brandon with second wife Linda Thompson -- announced the news on Instagram: "Well, it's time we share the good news. We're having a baby." Brandon Jenner, 33, and brother Brody, 31, starred on the short-lived 2005 reality show "The Princes of Malibu."
