Selena Gomez's grandfather: Singer in treatment for lupus

Selena Gomez's grandfather Ricardo Gomez Sr. reveals in an interview with Radar Online that his granddaughter was diagnosed with Lupus "a couple of years ago" and that she is getting treatment.

"She's getting along pretty good. What worries [us] more is that she doesn't know how to say no. She won't take time for herself to relax, to eat well," her grandfather said. "The sad part is we hardly see her nowadays, just by phone. . . . When we talk on the phone we say, 'We don't see you in person but we see you in the news, in the newspaper, the TV . . . Are you OK?' She says, 'Yeah.' "

When Selena took a short time off from performing, her grandfather added, it was because she felt pressured by work and personal matters. Though he cites her heavy work schedule, he added "she was worried a lot about Justin [Bieber]."

Katy Perry moves on

In a new Cosmopolitan interview, Katy Perry says that there's no bitterness between her and her ex, John Mayer. "I'm living in the now and not fantasizing about the future or [being] torn up about the past," she says. " I have a lot of respect for [John] still, and I know it goes both ways."

Perry then adds, "There's no bad blood, but I'm sure there will be inspired songs."
