Pop star Taylor Swift, who turns 25 on Saturday, tweeted a cheeky birthday message to the media Monday.

"As my 25th birthday present from the media, I'd like for you to stop accusing all my friends of dating me," she wrote, ending with the hashtag "#thirsty," an apparent reference to media thirsty for content.

The post followed tabloid claims, which Swift's representative denied, saying the singer and her model friend Karlie Kloss, a Victoria's Secret Angel, were kissing romantically during a concert last week by the band The 1975 at Terminal 5 in Manhattan. While Swift did attend the show, her representative called the rumor, based on blurry photographs, "hilarious." Kloss and Swift had been the object of false relationship rumors in August.

Ironically, relationship rumors have also paired Swift and The 1975 frontman Matthew Healy.

Us Weekly reported Swift had attended the band's Los Angeles concert last month, and that Healy told the Australian radio show "Shazam Top 20," "We exchanged numbers. Let's see what happens," adding, "I mean, bloody hell, what am I going to do? Go out with Taylor Swift? She's a sensation, I wouldn't say no."

Swift, who this year topped Billboard magazine's annual list of the music industry's highest-earning performers, was linked in tabloids in 2012 to Patrick Schwarzenegger, son of former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, after reportedly walking together on a beach; with actor Jared Leto in January after chatting at the Golden Globe Awards; and with Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel in March after meeting briefly at a party.
