WOR drops Beck after low ratings
Glenn Beck's three-hour radio program will be dropped by WOR on Jan. 17, the station announced Tuesday, according to Newsday's Verne Gay. Reason? The usual: Ratings. "Early on he was a ratings juggernaut," said Scott Lakefield, WOR program director in an interview Tuesday. "But he started to trail off over the past six to eight months, and the show was clearly not resonating in the ratings with New Yorkers."
