Kelly Clarkson to sing at Super Bowl
Singer Kelly Clarkson is set to perform at America's most popular sporting event: Super Bowl XLVI. The first "American Idol" winner has been chosen to sing the national anthem before the NFL championship game in Indianapolis on Feb. 5, a person familiar with Super Bowl entertainment plans told The Associated Press Wednesday. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because no official announcement has been made.
'Teen Mom' co-star charged with harassment
Jenelle Evans, of MTV's reality show "Teen Mom 2" has been charged with making harassing phone calls and communicating threats, The Associated Press reports. Brunswick County, N.C., sheriff's Sgt. Del Routh said Evans, 20, of Oak Island, N.C., was released on $1,000 bond shortly after her arrest Tuesday. Evans did not have a listed telephone number, but attorney Dustin Sullivan says the charges are retribution after she accused a local man of cyberstalking.
Will Smith, ready for slime?
Will Smith will host Nickelodeon's 25th annual Kids' Choice Awards, The Associated Press reports. Nickelodeon announced Wednesday that 10-time winner Smith will host the March 31 ceremony from the Galen Center in Los Angeles. The show will air live on Nickelodeon. Smith calls the awards "the year's liveliest, slimiest and most outrageous party for kids and teens." The Kids' Choice Awards honor kids' favorites in film, music, sports and TV by tallying the votes of kids online and via mobile devices. During the show, green slime is routinely dumped on celebrities and winners receive trophies shaped like blimps.
