Tom Cruise's reps are denying reports the actor had a real-life "Mission: Impossible" chase scene in Manhattan Wednesday afternoon.
The Daily News' website reported that Cruise and daughter Suri got into a SUV while dodging a host of photographers and journalists and headed north on the West Side Highway. The paparazzi reportedly followed Cruise in at least 10 cars, six bikes and motorcycles as his SUV raced uptown.
"It's false. Never happened," Cruise's publicist Amanda Lundberg said in an email.
Police said they received no calls that Cruise caused "near accidents," as reported, or was speeding.
