Grammy Award-winning singer Usher and his girlfriend, music-industry executive Jenn Goicoechea, have welcomed their second child, a son.
"Hi my name is Sire Castrello Raymond," wrote Usher, born Usher Raymond IV, who turns 43 Thursday, on Instagram and Facebook Tuesday. "I am the newest addition to the Raymond crew. I was born Sept 29 2021 at 6:42pm weighing 7lbs 13oz. Hear me roar … A.K.A Ra Ra."
On her Instagram page, Goicoechea wrote, "The Champ is Here!! … Sire Castrello Raymond. Proud to be your Mama. I recently lost my grandfather, Champ Castrello … the strongest, bravest, family oriented, funny and kindest man I know … (other than my baby father lol) I couldn’t ask for a better example of how a man should be! … it was only right we keep his name alive." Congratulatory comments came from rapper-producer Jermaine Dupri, actor Jurnee Smollett ("Lovecraft Country") and hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg, who wrote, "My nefew," an endearment he often uses.
Usher and Goicoechea had announced on Sept. 30, 2020, that they had become the parents of daughter Sovereign Bo Raymond. Usher has two sons, Usher V, 13, and Naviyd, 12, with his first wife, Tameka Foster. He is separated from his second wife, Grace Miguel, whom he married in September 2015. The couple announced their separation in March 2018, and Usher filed for divorce that December.
