"Gravity," the sci-fi thriller starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, has been under wraps for most of this year, but Warner Bros. has finally released a two-minute teaser trailer for the film.
It's an interesting project that appears to have essentially only two actors. Clooney plays a veteran astronaut assisting a scientist (Bullock) on her first space shuttle mission, which goes awry and leaves the two stranded in space with only the oxygen left in their suits. That premise doesn't seem to leave much room for a support cast, unless "Gravity" includes Earth-based characters (or, less likely, alien creatures).
If anyone can carry a big-budget two-hander by themselves it's Clooney and Bullock. Then again, the studios said the same thing about Will and Jaden Smith in "After Earth."
"Gravity," directed by Alfonso Cuaron ("Children of Men"), is due in theaters Oct. 4.
