Gold medal gymnast Aly Raisman had a stressful start to New York Fashion Week, but anyone who watched the 2012 Summer Olympics knows this 18-year-old doesn't fold under pressure.
After arriving later than scheduled for Badgley Mischka's show at Lincoln Center Tuesday morning, Raisman didn't have much time to get ready. Because of her petite frame, the white dress the designers chose for her had to be hemmed just 20 minutes before the show.
Still, Raisman bounced back and looked beautiful while taking in both Badgley Mischka and Jenny Packham.
"I loved it; I thought it was amazing," Raisman said of Badgley Mischka's show, and although she didn't get to see teammate Gabby Douglas walk the runway in the Heart Truth Red Dress Show last week, she did say she enjoyed the pictures.
"She looked so beautiful," Raisman said, adding that she would like to walk in a fashion show one day. "It was really exciting to see all the pictures."
Rasiman said her personal style is "simple, elegant and classy," and that she also loves "fun, bright colors."
But when it comes to her recent shopping habits, Raisman has a one track mind.
"I'm very into shoes lately," she said. "I love getting shoes. That's kind of my new thing."
