Friday is the festival’s traditional quiet day, at least in terms of celebrity appearances and panel discussions. The screening schedule, however, is packed as always. Here are a few highlights:
"CAPITAL," 1 p.m. at UA East Hampton. The latest from political filmmaker Costa-Gavras is a thriller set in the world of international banking.
"TIM’S VERMEER," 4 p.m. at UA East Hampton. Teller, of Penn and Teller, directed this documentary about a man who goes to extraordinary to lengths to discover how Vermeer painted his works.
"MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM," 4:30 p.m. at Guild Hall. Idris Elba plays the South African revolutionary and President Nelson Mandela.
"THE INVISIBLE WOMAN," 8:30 p.m. at Guild Hall. Director Ralph Fiennes is scheduled to host a screening of his film about Charles Dickens’ affair with a younger woman.
