Hill dating Hoffman's daughter

Jonah Hill ("The Sitter," "Moneyball") is dating his childhood friend Ali Hoffman -- daughter of two-time Academy Award-winner Dustin Hoffman. Us Weekly said Thursday that the two have been seeing each other for a short while, and that Hill, 27, was in Hawaii over the holidays with the Hoffman family. Dustin Hoffman, in fact, helped Hill land his first film role, in 2004's "I Heart Huckabees." In October, Us reported that Hill split up with his longtime girlfriend Jordan Klein.

Renner uninvolved in Thailand bar brawl

Jeremy Renner, star of "Mission: Impossible," emerged unscathed from a bar fight in Thailand, his spokesman said Thursday, but a hotel manager in his party was attacked with an ax, Reuters reports. A spokeswoman for Renner, 40, denied media reports that the actor was hurt in the bloody incident in Phuket early on Wednesday. "Jeremy Renner was indeed in a bar in Phuket, Thailand as a vicious attack on a patron took place but was not injured or involved. He exited as the fight took place," Renner's publicist said in a statement.

Adele's got something to sing about

British singing star Adele -- recently nominated for six Grammy Awards for songs and an album, "21," filled with songs about romantic heartache -- appears to have a new beau. Us Weekly reported Thursday that the 23-year-old singer was photographed at Florida's Everglades National Park kissing Simon Konecki, 36, founder of the British charity, drop4drop. Adele did her part to help the organization, which bring wells and clean drinking water to impoverished areas, by alerting her Twitter followers to the charity and urging them to follow its tweets. Adele's rep did not return Newsday's request for comment.
