If you're one of the 1.2 million people following Betty White on Twitter, then stop what you are doing and head to Instagram. The 93-year-old actress officially launched her Instagram account on Wednesday after announcing the news on Twitter.
White even posted her first photo, which featured her with "Hot in Cleveland" co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves. The women each held a glass of white wine in the photo, which was tied to the series finale that aired Wednesday night.
"For my first Instagram post I wanted to say how much I love these girls dearly. What a great time we had. #HOTFinale #ThanksForTheLaughs," White wrote in the caption.
Nichols has mild stroke
Nichelle Nichols, who starred as Lt. Nyota Uhura on "Star Trek" from 1966 to 1969, was rushed from her home to a Los Angeles hospital Wednesday night after suffering from a mild stroke, TMZ reports. According to her rep, the actress, 82, is awake and resting comfortably, and doctors are conducting tests to determine the severity of her condition.
In addition to appearing in the classic sci-fi television series, Nichols reprised her role of Uhura in six of the "Star Trek" feature films.
