Work must continue for Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert since their divorce last week, and that includes keeping up concert appearances: Both are expected to perform at the upcoming WE Fest in Minnesota.
Festival promoters confirmed to TMZ that neither has backed out of their scheduled headlining gig, and chances are that they would be able to avoid one another. At the three-day festival, Lambert is scheduled to perform on Aug. 7 and Shelton is set to sing Aug. 8.
The split has been rough for both singers. "Man, this isn't my week," Shelton, 39, joked during his concert over the weekend. Meanwhile, his ex-wife, 31, is "taking it day by day," but she's "still sad and trying to process everything," People reported.
Cruise ready to fly again
A sequel to the 1986 Tom Cruise hit "Top Gun" is in the works. Skydance Productions CEO David Ellison said a screenplay is being written and that "there is an amazing role for Maverick," the character played by Cruise. And the actor is interested in reprising the role.
"I would like to get back into those jets," Cruise, 53, told Reuters Saturday at the London premiere of "Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation." "I don't want any CGI jets. I want to shoot it like how we shot the first one."
