Get out the fire hoses because this new video by Dr. Dre featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey is pure fire!!!! The well respected rapper and producer dropped the video for his single “I Need A Doctor,” Thursday. It is indeed a walk down memory lane for true hip-hop lovers.

The video starts off with flash backs of his more than 20 years in the rap game including his days with N.W.A. The date, Feb. 18, 2001, appears at the beginning of the video. It is the date of Dre’s 36th birthday and it is also the year that N.W.A broke up. He reflects on his career and personal life with images of his wife and daughter.

This video gave me goosebumps and I think it will do the same for true hip hop heads. The images from great moments in hip hop with Tupac and the rise of West Coast rap are extremely poignant.

As the video progresses, these images cloud Dre’s mind to the point that he has a crazy car accident that almost kills him. Eminem raps to the body of his mentor and tries to bring him back to life. The rapper’s lyrics are heart-felt and show the love and appreciation Em has for Dre.

Skylar Grey kills the chorus with her hypnotic voice. She appears as an angel in the video that helps to bring the Dr. back to life.

When Dre finally comes back to life…he spits pure venom! He comes hard at all his haters and the people who abandoned him throughout his career .

The Dr. is indeed in and ready to take care of business.

J-Hud is back! The video for her single, “Where You At,” dropped yesterday and this woman can sing ANYONE under the table. The track is off of her sophomore album, “I Remember Me,” scheduled for a March 22 release.

She looks fab in the video, showing off her new uber svelte figure (she lost 88 pounds).

Hudson is singing to her love and asking where is he when she needs him the most. The scenes go from her walking alongside a river in NYC to her bedroom and then to a church.

This woman’s voice continues to give me chills. Aside from her amazing range, the emotion she puts into her songs truly resonates to anyone who listens.

Kanye West released the video for his single, “All of the Lights,” featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi Saturday. The single is off of his highly acclaimed album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.”

The video starts with a cute little girl walking through a black and white neighborhood. It then goes to Kanye rapping and there are non-stop flashing lights throughout the video from this point on.

All that flashing is actually a bit annoying and the video was taken down temporarily Thursday because the group, Epilepsy Action, said the video can cause seizures. According to nymag.com, “The activist group managed to get a hold of West's agent after receiving 'several calls' from people who had seizures upon viewing the video.” The video is back up now, but with a health warning.

Rihanna is just about naked (not surprisingly) and Kid Cudi does a cameo for the 4 lines he has in the song.

The video is directed by Hype Williams who was the “it” director in the ‘90s, working with artists from P. Diddy to Q-Tip to LL Cool J. It’s nice to see his work back on the scene.
